Planes Seen Flying Too Close

A DHL cargo plane and a Japan Airlines jet were photographed apparently flying close to each other over London but British officials denied a breach of safety.The Civil Aviation Authority said no near miss was reported after the incident Saturday and it was impossible to tell how close they were. Both planes landed at Heathrow with no problems, reports the BBC. A photographer who captured the image told reporters he began taking pictures after seeing the planes apparently coming together "on a collision course."A DHL spokesman, noting that photographs could be deceptive, said: "If there had been any incident of them being close together, there are all sorts of systems which would have gone off, both in the plane itself and at air traffic control -- but there wasn't any report of an incident."
